Today was a good relaxing day, a nice change. We got up, got ready for church, packed up, and headed for church. We went to church in Erie in the ward that Adam served with. Everyone there was so nice. We had multiple people come up to ask and ask if we were new to the ward. Church was good and I got to meet a lot of people there.
After church, we went over to the house of a family that Adam got to know on him mission, the Testis. They were really nice and fun to be with. They fed us a delicious dinner of hamburgers, grilled vegetables, and pasta salad. It was nice to have a home-cooked meal again. After dinner, we went out to Presque Isle with the Testi’s daughter and her fiancĂ©. It was fun to be with another couple that is our age. With them, we went to a couple of places on Presque Isle including: just to see the water, to a lighthouse, and Perry Monument. When we got to the lighthouse we learned that someone actually owned it and we couldn’t go inside of it. We were all a little bummed out about that. Perry Monument is a monument that was built in honor of a war hero names Perry. He fought in the Battle of Lake Erie. After these, we went to what they called “The Tower.” It was connected to an environmental center and it was up what felt like ten flights of stairs. It was a great view and we could see so much from the tower. After seeing a little bit more of Erie, we went back to the Testi’s house and soon after left for Pittsburgh!

We drove to Pittsburgh. The way down, Adam was debating what way to take me in to let me get the best view of the city for my first impression of it. He decided to take me around the city and come up from the south. To get there, we drove through the suburbs, and then came to a tunnel. We drove through the tunnel and when we came our, bam! There was the city. Downtown, the hills all around it covered in trees and houses, and they were all lit up! It was such a beautiful sight to see the city. After checking into our hotel, Adam drove me up onto Mount Washington to get a good look at the city and to help me start to get to know the city. It was a great view from up there also because we could see everything from there. It is definitely different than back in Arizona, but Pittsburgh is a beautiful city.
